Solving a problem...

Hello!

After the last week's "interesting" Thursday, I would like to write about some events in the dorm which have happened today.

After Joe's lesson I turned back to the dorm. But it wasn't so easy. There are still some road-constructions next to the dormitory-building, so parts of the road and of the pavement are missing now. Due to this fact, the road from the school and the dorm was directed by some plastic ribbons and wooden bridges. Well, at 6 p.m. it was dark, so I could feel like walking in a labyrinth :)

As soon as I opened the door of my room I noticed that there was a problem with the tap: the water was flowing out of it and I couldn't do anything to stop it, because the tap became ruined somehow while I had been away. :( So, I went down to ask some help from the hall porter. He came up and had a look at the tap. Then he said that he was going to call a plumber and all I have to do is waiting for his answer. I said OK, of course. While I was waiting for him, I started to read a little from one of my compulsory readings then I was eating some peaces of chocolate. :)

After waiting for 2 hours (for no answers, of course), I went down to the hall porter again asking him if there were any good news for me. He shook his had and said he couldn't find anybody. Moreover he advised me to ask help from the boys in the dorm. Huh! I started imagining: do I have to knock in all rooms (there are at least a hundred of them) to ask: "Hello, do you have some utensils for a ruined tap?" But to tell the truth, I really did so :)) Fortunately, there were two boys in the first room, where I knocked in and they had a pair of pliers. They were very helpful and they could solve the problem easily: within 2 minutes! So, I had to be waiting for a 2-minutes solution for 2 hours!! :)

But finally I was lucky. And since then I don't want to touch anything that could be damaged and is in connection with water. :))

I understand your problem, Zsuzsi. I also live in a dorm and we have to admit that the conditions there are not the best (If I want to gloss it over). But it's so good if you feel that there are some people who you can rely on if you have problems. And
I don't think of the hall porter.:)

Thank you for the comment. It was really nice from you. :) And I'm trying not to rely on the hall porter in case of problems in the future ;)
