Hi everyone!
After a short pause I would like to write about my favourite hobbies: watching films and listening to music. I know that most of you have similar interests but this time I would like to write about these two things through a different aspect.
There are some films which focus on music, for example: Dirty Dancing, Flashdance, The jailhouse-rock or Love me tender. I think these are great films, because they can make a good picture about a certain era by collecting the actual waves of music, dance and fashion. Sometimes they can evoke a kind of a nostalgia or retro-feeling, too. That's why I love these kinds of films. :)
But not only the '70s and '80s was a prosperous period for those types of films. Similar kinds of films are produced even nowadays, like: Walk the line (a film dedicated to the American country-singer Johnny Cash), Ray (dedicated to Ray Charles) and Piaf (a film dedicated to the French chanson-singer, Edith Piaf). These films are similar to those from the '80s, but they are also trying to depict the life of the main characters throughout their music. I think this is an admirable idea! :)) You can not only watch the life-line of the person, but you can also get to know his/her music.
So, I can recommend you to watch some of these great films. These could be an ideal way of relaxation in a cold winter-night. Have fun! :))

I like this kind of portrait films, as well. I haven't seen these ones you mentioned here, but I'm really interested in Edith Piaf so I think I try to get it somehow. I think she is a great singer. I listen to her quite frequently. I remember when we had this final exam period I got up and so woke up with her songs just to avoid being depressed and worried, it was really nice. Nobody knew why I was so relaxed in that demanding days:).
Do you like her as well?
I like that retro-feeling that those films evoke^^ Thanks for the film tips!
Zsuzsi and Szösz! Thank you for your comments. Edith Piaf is one of my favourite singers that's why I watched the portrait film about her. :)
yeah, I saw the movie about Johnny Cash, and it was good. I enjoyed it very much. Joaquin Phoenix was gorgeous with Reese Witherspoon. So the whole film was great. I can recommend it to the others too.
By the way, who's your favorite performer in music?
Thanks for your comment, Krisztián. Well, I have many-many favourite performers in music, but I really like the music of Christina Aguilera, Elton John, George Michael, The Queen and French singers.
hmmm... good ones, i'm sharing some of them with you :)
Thank you very much, Krisztián! :))
