Animals - part 1

I would like to write about domestic animals. The most common pets in Hungary are: dog, cat, parrot, fish and hamster. I chose these kinds of animals because these stand very close to men.

At home I have a dog and a parrot. I prefer the dog, because I don't really know what to do with a bird: I cannot walk with it, it doesn't pay attention if I spoke to him ad I can't play with it. :(

A dog is quite the opposite of a bird: I can walk, play and chat with it. :) Moreover it can keep unwanted people away with its barking, so it can defend our home. My dog is a Bolognese Bichon Frise, which is a rare race. His name is Beck (after David Beckham because my brothers like football). He is 5 years old and we got him form one of our cousins. He is quite small and light (being only 7 kg). He has long and wavy fur, which has to be combed every day.

He is intelligent and has good sense. In the morning he gets up from his basket as soon as he hears the sound of the coffee maker, because he knows that he is going to get a sugar cube, which is among his favourites. :)

He can behave unusually sometimes. Before a one week long summer vacation he is taken to our grandma. He doesn't really like to be taken away from us. During this one week period he doesn't eat anything, because he is depressed because of the situation of not being with us. But when we return to him, he becomes happy: he keeps barking, jumping and running around us. I can say that he got used to being with his real owners. :)

That's all I can write about him (because no interesting stories in connection with him comes into my mind) and I'll share some pictures.
