Finally, February is over! Although it is a special month compared with the other ones, it really seemed to be long for me.
The first 2 weeks were awful, because I had to run up-and-down in order to sign up for my lessons and do the crediting of my courses that I fulfilled in the last semester. The whole process was fatiguing, but it was worth doing it, because I managed to do the crediting. :) Moreover, it was useful as I could gain some experience in doing administration.
During the next week I collected all the photocopies that I need for my lessons. As far as I remember, I never could get those materials so soon. :)
All in all, I took up 18 lessons, from which 7 are Italian, 10 are English and one is pedagogical. It looks not really well, because there are some coincidences of courses and I have to be in a hurry all the time if I don't want to miss the important courses. :( What is surprising is the number of my credits, because I will obtain more than 50 (!) in this semester due to this huge number of classes.
I hope that March will be a luckier month for me. :)
Cheers

Students
As a second-year student, I have to attend pedagogical courses. My favourite lesson is Pedagogical views. This is a very interesting lesson dealing with the different processes during which a person becomes a teacher, and several information in connection with students. I really enjoy this course because of the material we cover and because of the atmosphere.
My last class focused on students in general. The teacher showed us a research about various student types. Well, this was a certain type of a questionnaire made in 1992, but its results are still compatible. In the course we could see only the statistical results. There were 13 different categories all together and the students had to choose the one(s) in which they belong to. These are the following:
1. leader
2. ideal student
3. expert
4. hard-working
5. sportsman/sportswoman
6. side-splitting
7. mode-follower
8. entertaining partner
9. further role
10. shy
11. groundless
12. outsider
13. faceless
I feel that some explanations are needed. Those who are in the further role can be who are interested in arts, are good organisers, or who don't belong to any other categories. The groundless students could be (well, I made some guesses with some of my classmates, because we had no idea about the reference of this one) those who can't find their place in the world, in other words "being in a wrong place at a wrong time". The faceless pupils are the so-called "little grey mice".
During that class, we had to categorise ourselves according to our experience from the primary school. Most people were hard-working, but there was a high percentage in leaders, sportsmen, side-splittings and shy students. These solutions were surprising for me, because many people seem to have been changed since the elementary school times.
At the end of the lesson the teacher told us that these categories have effects to the whole person's life and some people can't get rid of these features. Since this lesson, I've been thinking about this division, because it is very thought-provoking.
I hope you will comment this post, because I'm interested in your opinions.
Cheers :)

Springtime...
As you can see, I've changed the style of my blog. :)You know, springtime is coming and I believed that I need some changes in the colour. I'm so happy this time, because greyness is disappearing from
nature and from people's face. Moreover, the sun is shining, the temperature is above 10 Celsius so I can wear thinner clothes and I can hear birds singing....what else do we need for happiness?Cheers! :)

My nameday
My nameday was today! Well, I'm not a complete egoist, but I have missed certain festivals so far.
The whole day was interesting for me. I overslept a little bit, because I went to bed very late and I woke up in the middle of that short night. Anyway, I prepared for the schoolday and I arrived at the school just on time. The first lesson was English Literature and Culture and it began with...a quiz! :( Only 3 short poems were asked but I was in such a bad position at 8 o'clock in the morning, that I couldn't concentrate, so I confused everything: I made a mixture of two poets' name and I misunderstood the analysis of a shakespearian sonnet. It was a very bad start for the day. :((
After that I had Italian classes, which were quite good. In the break between two lessons I realised that I had left the book that I had chosen for Joe's class at the dorm. I had to go back for it at once, so I couldn't go to the "Excercising the Italian Language" course (a.k.a.: Esercitazione di lingua), which is usually an extremely boring lesson.
I was happy and angry at the same time: missing such a lesson ( glad) and being so forgetful (upset).
But before the afternoon's lesson a very surprising event happened to me. One of my classmate (whose name is also Zsuzsi) gave me some chocolate for celebrating my nameday. I was astonished, because I helped her in the "creditation-business" ( I didn't expect anything for that, of course) and we have been making friendship since September. Fortunately I also had some chocolate with me that I could gave to her. But that situation was so great that I can't forget it. I have never thought that people can be so careful nowadays. Thank you very much! :))

Eurovision
Writing about a happier topic...I chose music and a special event in connection with it: Eurovision Song Festival. This is a strife between songs of all the European countries. The first event was held in 1956 (!) with the participation of only 10 countries. These were: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. During the next decades many other countries joined this competition. Nowadays the number of the participants is more than 40.
Hungary represented itself at the beginning of the 1990s. Its most successful song was Kinek mondjam el vétkeimet performed by Friderika (this song reached the 4th place).
This weekend was dedicated to this event on tv, more precisely to choosing the song that will represent Hungary in May 2008 in Belgrade. There were 15 candidations of music from which a jury and the tv-watchers had to choose the best. Most of the songs were enjoyable but there were some unknown singers for me (like Imre Zsuzsa and her wonderful song Érintés) and there were some performances that I didn't like at all (for example: Gál Csaba Boogie - Úgy figyeltelek). The first-placed song is a beautiful ballad: Szívverés (Heartbeating) from Csézy. I'm glad that this became the winner, because it was one of the best songs. I would like to put here its lyrics, if you don't mind (it is in Hungarian). I think it's a good preparation for the Valentine's Days. ;)
Cheers! :)
Csézy – Szívverés
Égszínkék
Szemeid színét
mint szép emlék,
úgy őrzöm még.
Gyere lépj elő a semmiből,
Úgysem érhet baj,
Mert a tiszta érzést védi majd
Egy láthatatlan pajzs.
Hosszú éjszakán,
lépteidre várok még.
Halvány gyertyaláng,
forró könnyét szórja.
Szívverés
Ébreszti a csendet fel
Cinkos fénysugár
Iderajzol mellém már
Őrangyal
Ide lép halkan
És súg egy szót
Egy vígasztalót.
Az élet néha elszakít,
De túl erős a vágy
Édes gondolattal játszom el,
Mintha mindig itt volnál.
Hosszú éjszakán.....
Mondd miért van így
Nézd mit művel a vágy
Az életem
Vele úgy megosztanám
Hát Istenem
Most légy velem
Küldd el hozzám Őt
Nem számít mennyi még
(Olyan jó Rá várni)
Hosszú éjszakán......

Spring semester
After having finished with my exams, I could have a relaxing holiday. It was a high time for that, because I got exhausted by the end of the exam period.
This holiday was extremely good, because I had a lot of time for everything: I could watch my favourite tv-series, read some books chosen by me, go to the cinema, spend more time with my family and with my friends... That was cool also because my brothers had to go to school while I could do what I wanted. :)
Unfortunately 21 January arrived....yes, it was time to sign up for my lessons in the ETR. Sounded not so well. :( Before that day I prepared the order of my classes so that I could finish with the school on Thursday and avoid "lesson-collision". This plan had been successful for a while until some changes came. One week before the school, I realised that we have to sign up for another lesson, which is going to be held on Tuesday only at 2 o'clock. Great, I had to rearrange the order of my classes and then I got some courses for which I couldn't sign up. :(
The remaining part of the holiday ended very soon and I had to travel to Pécs again. It was very good to meet my schoolmates. Besides this, on the first school-week I had to face with 2 problems in connection with the classes:
1. I have to sign up for many other English lessons that weren't hold in the autumn-semester (these are introductionary courses and seminars in literature, culture and linguistics).
2. I have to do something with my English credits, because my minor isn't with the right code and I must be taken to the appropriate code with all the courses I fulfilled before.
So, I had to do a lot of administrations in the next weeks. :(
Nice beginning of the school, isn't it?...
